Gaucher disease

Gaucher disease is a rare genetic disorder inherited from parents. It is caused by the accumulation of glucocerebroside (a glycolipid) in cells and certain organs. The spleen and liver may get very large and stop working properly. The disease can also affect the lungs, brain, eyes, and bones.
