Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection

Respiratory syncytial virus infection (RSV), is a common respiratory virus that causes infections of the lungs and respiratory tract. It is very common in children but can also infect adults. Usually, this virus causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, especially for infants and older adults, people with heart problems as well as a weak immune system.
