Bi-specific T-cell engager

Bi-specific T-cell engager is a class of artificial bispecific monoclonal antibodies that are used to treat cancer. They direct a host’s immune system, more specifically the T cells’ cytotoxic activity, against cancer cells.
They are fusion proteins that are created by joining parts of two different genes. They are transcribed and translated as a single unit, producing a single polypeptide.
