Hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma is the most common type of primary liver cancer in adults. It is closely linked to people with chronic liver diseases, such as cirrhosis caused by hepatitis B or hepatitis C infection. Metabolic syndrome and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease are also increasingly recognized as risk factors for this type of cancer.
