Radiation to bone

Radiation to bone is performed when tumor cells are present in the bone. Radiation therapy has long been used to shrink metastatic bone tumors and consequently to help relieve this pain. But this procedure will produce side effects in the bone, especially in the soft tissue of the bone, that becomes weaker.
