Small cell lung cancer

Small cell lung cancer is a type of highly malignant cancer that appears in the lungs. In opposition to non-small cell cancer, this type has a shorter doubling time, higher growth rate and earlier development of metastases. This type of lung cancer sums up to around 15% of all lung cancers.
